I have a tin billboard (6' x 3") that is nailed onto a shed as support advertising Old German Beer. The billboard is rusty but the Old German name and logo is visible. I recently inherited my great grandfathers scrapbooks. He founded an advertising company in the 1920's continuing until the 1950's. During that time, he was hired by a fellow named Adolph Coors to develop labels for his new beer. I have original drawings of the actual original label approved by Mr Coors. I also have the printing proofs and original unused label(s). After this initial success with Mr. Coors, my grandfather's firm was asked to be the advertising agency for Coors. I have many original drawings of Ads and the printed proof versions used in magazines and papers. Many of the ads are quite racist showing African Americans in servant positions to whites with the wording depicted by the "servants" to be very stereotypical and derogatory. I'm so curious as to the value of what I have. Is this just interesting stuff, or is there any monetary value.

My father has a Wagner Brewery (Granite City IL) wooden beer box from 1934 (first year after the repeal of that most evil of acts) Graphics are nice and bright, lid and hinges in great shape, has some very slight termite damage to one lower corner, otherwise real solid. Someone peeled a label off of a bottle and stuck it to the lid way back when, too. If anyone knows any collectors, or an approximate value, please email and let me know. Thanks in advance - Dave

Hello, My friend’s father just passed away at 92 yrs old. He was a beer distributor in Chicago. I am helping them go through the estate and sell things as they don’t have room to store it all. Many of the items are pre-prohibition. Some of the beer cases have tax stamps on them. I was just there Wed Oct 11 and took over 100 photos of items that we are selling. You can view the itmes at diggingaround.com/personal/friends/beer/index.htm The beer items are in Libertyville, Illinois Let me know if anyone is interested in the items or if you know someone who might be. They just want a fair price for the items, and to not be taken advantage of. Thank you for your time, Rita Email: Rita@DiggingAround.com

A friend of mine has an advertising promo for Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer that we don't know what it even really is. Its about 18 x 18 inches in size and looks like it may be made out of a hard pressed board about a 1/4 inch thick. Pabst Blue Ribbon at the top of board and then printed pictures of all 52 playing cards cover both sides of the board. At the top left hand corner there is a cartoon type picture of the backside of a German man running away, with his head looking back. Also has a swatsika on his sleeve. At the top right corner of the board there is a cartoon type character of the backside of a chinaman who is wearing round framed glasses, head looking back, and looks as if he's jumping up in the air. Printed at the bottom of the board are the words "POKER and BLACKJACK. There is also gold stars painted on the sides and at the bottom. The identical same thing is printed on both sides of this board. He has 2 of these advertising promos. They kind of look like they could be dart boards, but never have been used. If anyone might have any idea or any information about these items, please email me at this address: shimmer_47@yahoo.com. Also would like to have some idea of the value of them also. At the bottom of the board

I have a 1970s era Budweiser Clydesdales carousel light. When I bought it, they had had trouble the day before with the switch on the bottom (light would turn off, but carousel kept turning). The night after I bought it and hung up, the light starting flickering and then quit. Any ideas on how to get to and change the starter and/or bulb and/or switch? Thanks.

I have several BRAND NEW items that have only been taken out of their packages to be shown or photographed. These include a large oval Moosehead mirror that is 2 years old - approx 2 feet wide, 3 feet tall. A wooden Corona sign that is very unique, 2 years old. A dominant, large Corona Mirror - roughly 48 x 24. It features a beach scene in the background. Extremely sharp piece! I've seen this item offered for $500 on dealer sites. A Mike's Lemonade Mirror - which is an oversized Logo Mirror - roughly 24 x 18. I have a set of "old school" Double Diamond "dimple/grenade" mugs. If you would like to inquire more, please e-mail me.

i have an old Anheiser-Busch copy of 'Custer's Last Fight'. It is different than all others I have come across in my research online. I need help identifying this please. It is on a canvas, in a wood frame with wormholes(I assume man-made holes). On the bottom of the picture on the frame it has a brass ( ithink its brass) plate that says... Custer's Last Fight, and under that line it says Anheiser-Busch Inc. St. Louis, MO, under that is the red budweiser 'King of Beers' logo with a stick of wheat on each side. It has Beckers signature in lower right corner and there in NOT any other writing on it. Not an expert....is it a lithograph on paper or is it a painting? It has some flaking on the picture. I see a straight edge under the frame so I dont believe this is a painting. Anyone have information such as a date , etc? thanks! email me at huroncomputers2@hotmail.com

Hello, I have been tring to find out the history and approx. value of an old stein that I have had for about 35 years or better. It was old when I aquired it. On the bottom the markings are 4063 of to the lower left it it has the initials RM with a dot and comming off the arrow there is a cirlle about three quarters around the initials. There is also the letter K ,also it says West Germany all ar etched in. It appears to be a pewter lid inside the lid it has the letters DGBM and some kind of symbol that I cant make out also on the other side are the numbers 88.The stein has a pictureof a lady with a green hat sitting on a bench wearing a red dress and yellow apron or blanket next to her is a man ,green hat holding a flintlock riffle.Under the is the word feierabend on a scroll banner with mountains in the back ground. There is i bird sitting on the ladies hat and what appears to be a squerral on the man hat.Next picture is a flowered frame with the words Auch Sprode Madchen haben Feuer and a dark blue background behind the flowers and orange gradually fading to tan or off white background the flowers are white with yellow centers.Next to that there is the same pattern with the words Im dunklenist ihr Kuss nicht teuer. It is is excellant condition and a few flaws which are glazed right over. The lid has a dome or cone shape with alot of detail. I sure hope someone can give me the background and I certanly thank you kindly for your time,Hope you could follow my description I tried to paint the picture without a paintbrush. Again thanks for your time Sincerly, Glenn Miller

I have a Schmidt Beer spinning light with 4 of the scenic can pictures on it. It is from either the 50's or 60's and the shade is fragile as eggs. I haven't been able to find another one anywhere on the net. The shade has been broken but it has been repaired and the little cardboard insert (original) fits perfectly and the whole rest of the lamp is in excellent condition. The fact that these shades were so fragile makes this thing EXTREMELY RARE!!!! I'm going to offer it at auction with a $350 reserve. If you can find another one anywhere, let me know, otherwise, FOR SALE!!!

I am wondering how much value is a (lady on the moon)pin, a pin as in something you could put on a hat or what ever, and I have the paper like backing that goes with it, it is in mint condition. I think it was made in the 1st part of the 1900s. I am doing this for my father so I am not sure on the exact date of production, but a antique dealer told him it was worth some money ,so I am doing some reaserch for him, can anyone help with some background?

FOR SALE: I have several boxes of brand new, still in the package Schmidt's coasters from my grandparents' bar. The bar was open from the 1960s until around 1980. I am looking to sell these by the box. The boxes have the brewery's name on the side, and were sent to a distributor in Palmyra, PA, which sent them to my grandparents. There are Schmidt's and Schmidt's light coasters. I have photos of the boxes that were opened; however some of the boxes still have the original tape in tact! Let me know if you are interested!

Have a black and white tray from The James Hanley Company, Providence, R.I. An old fellow and his not too happy wife are in a buggy. The horse is turning right to the post in front of the bar (against the wishes of the man). The sign over the bar roof reads "HANLEY'S EXTRA PALE". There is a smaller sign at the doorway that says the same thing. The caption under the whole picture reads: The Right Turn at the Wrong Time. Any info about this will be helpful.

we have a rather unusual example of custers last fight. It is framed and on canvas. It measures 36 by 2 inches. As I said it is done on canvas rather than paper. It is made to look like an oil painting but I don't think it is an actual oil painting. The "ink" on it is textured and raised to look like oil. The tag on the frame says anheuser busch, no mention of budweiser. There is no printing or writing on the "painting" like you see on the old litho's. anybody know how old it is or what it is worth?

I have a Miller High Life display that is probably supposed to be a small shelf. On the front, it has a picture of a man holding a stein of beer. I have emailed Miller Brewing Co. (which was no help) and looked all over the internet for possibilities on who the man is. The item is from a bar that my grandparents ran from the 1960s until around 1980. I have been posting the items on eBay periodically (seller id: dezzyn33 if anyone is interested), but I don't want to post this one until I can name him. If you have any info on possible Miller spokesmen from that time, please email me. Thanks for any info.

I have a budweiser pool table light. The base has Tiffany Stylite and it looks like it is old. 50's, 60's, 70's? It is stained glass with tongue and groove wood around the glass and it has the clydesdale horses pulling a wagon with 2 men and a dalmation on both sides and an "A" on both ends. The light bulbs look like they are about 4" round and they all work. It is beautiful. Does anyone know what it is worth?

Recently found six quart size 1906 beer bottles in the walls of my turn of the century house. All have partial labels identifing the bottles as containing the same beer. One label is in remarkably good condition. It says Theo Hamms Export Beer made June 30th 1906. Are they valuable? Would appreciate any input . Thanks

I have two framed Lone Star Beer items I'd like to sell but can't determine what I should ask. One is about 24" x 18", item #0075057 made by Signs & Glassworks of California. The print is textured with embossed print, a lot of gold accents, and it says, "Texas Sesquicentenial, 150 years, Lone Star Beer, 1836-1986, The National Beer of Texas" It's also labeled 'limited edition'. Wood frame with glass. The next one is about 18" x 30", item #00730056, wood frame, 'Lone Star Beer, The National Beer of Texas' printed on a suede or suede-like material. It comes with two hall tree hat hooks that go on each side. No glass. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, There was an old hole in the wall Liquor Store who threw away this Beer sign and my Husbands friend recovered it from the trash. It is over 34 Inches in Height. It is dated 1914 and I am wondering how to tell whether it is really dated 1914 or a replica Metal Tin Sign. The top left corner reads: "This Place Looks Good To Me" and it depicts a large bottle of High Life with what looks like a large spray of beer looking like a water fountain with a guy jumping off mountains into the pool of beer along with a bunch of other figures, look like frenchmen and a lady holding a bucket with a Red Scarf & hat, one of the guys is dragging a long a little Black and White Dog. There is also a "This Way to High Life little Caption Sign on it. There is a Policeman pointing a Baton towards the Pool, and bottom left Reads C. 1914 Miller Brewing Company, Milw WI and right reads MILWAUKEE C. MILLER BREWING CO. Is it old or new? Any info. greatly appreciated? Worth anything? Thx.

You were in charge of cleaning out Grandpa's garage, and theres so much junk in there you don't know where to start.During a remodeling job,you found a couple of old beer cans with cone shaped tops. Dad used to own a tavern, and he has a few old signs in the basement that haven't been plugged in for a decade.... Some call it junk, but to me...its treasure. And I'll pay stupid prices for the stuff thats real old or in good shape.Lighted signs,cans,tins,uniforms,paper-whether its a forgotten collection or one item,I'll pay you cash, clean it up and preserve it for the next generation. Thars' gold in them garages and basements-find it and email me.I'll make it worth your while.

I have a vintage Miller motion sign. It is a thick heavy sign that says "Miller High Life" "The Champagne of Bottle Beer" "Sparkling Flavor Distinctive" and has a really great bottle that pours into a glass. It is in perfect working condition, no chip, cracks or scratches. There is a touch of white paint along the top of the metal frame, other than that I would say it is flawless. I am guessing it is from the 60's. I was wondering if someone could give me an exact date of this item and an approximate value of the sign. Thanks for your help ! Jennifer

I found a few items while cleaning out a basement and would like to know if they have any value. Christian Moerlein matchsafe with company logo. It appears to be made of brass and is in decent condition. Foss-Schneider advertising glass which is about 6 inches high, stemmed. Lastly, a Foss-Schneider foam scraper which looks like an oversized popsicle stick and is same color. It may be wood or perhaps Bakelite. Thanks to anyone who can give me an approximate value. They don't look like pricey items but someone suggested that they were pretty old and might be collectible to someone.
