I have a stoneware crock with aluminum lid which is white, with the
words "Coors Pure Malted Milk" in blue on the side. During Prohibition,
Coors continued malt production to keep its workers employed and
sold the malted milk to soda fountains and Mars Candy (for the Milky
Way candy bar). The crock holds a 5# bag of sugar and I, as did
my mother, use it for that purpose on my kitchen counter. Does
anyone know the current market value of this item?

I am doing family history for the CHRIST family. Word of mouth has it that my great, great-grandfather CHRIST (no first name available) owned/operated a brewery in or around the Hicksville NY area. His son went on to work on a railroad and due to a train accident lost both legs. That son fathered three sons, two of which were Ernest Harold and Fred. The other son was a hunchback who disappeared from family history. Harold and Fred came to Washington DC as young men and were later joined by theie mother, Sophie Becker Christ.
I need information on either the breweries, current or past, in or around Hicksville, NY; or of the Christ family. Thank you.

Your trash, might be TREASURE? Let me know what you have/found. I'm here to help.

Regarding Miller Beer Tray - Lady (or witch) in the Moon
I have seen two different versions of this tray
One with the lady looking straight ahead and the other
with the lady looking towards the right side of the tray.
My question is - Is one older than the other and therefore more
valuable?
I have looked in my beer tray book but it doesn't cover the Miller
trays. Any other places or resources to check?
Any help or direction to turn with this would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have searched and searched but am unable to find the old-fashioned beer bottle crates they used to make:
I am a homebrewer and am looking for boxes/crates/containers to replace the cardboard boxes my beer bottles were shipped in as they are getting worn. Ideally, such an item will hold 24 12 ounce bottles with some sort of partitioning in the container. My current cardboard boxes are a "# 55" box with the dimensions of 15 3/4" X 10 3/4" X 9 1/2". Can you assist?

Value or Find Brewery Items at Auction. Price guide, http://www.antiquecast.com , allows searches of recent auction results. Super search lists sale items at several auction sites. Pictures are often available. Although this site is pitched towards antiques and collectables anything auctioned can be searched. Concise searches are best with the 3 most characteristic terms. For ready reference this site is worth bookmarking.

For the past year and a half, I've been working on a biography of the late singer/songwriter Steve Goodman, best known for writing "City of New Orleans," made into a hit by Arlo Guthrie in 1972. For the book, I have interviewed more than 280 people, from those who knew Steve in temple youth choir and in grade school and high school to many of the prominent entertainers associated. In his formative years as a musician, Steve did jingles to put food on the table. The companies for which he did jingles included Maybellene eye shadow, John Deere tractors and Pearl beer. This would have been around 1968-71. I'm looking for any details about the Pearl jingles -- the words, the music, when they were recorded, when they were aired and (dare I ask) recordings of them. If you do not know any of this information, could you let me know who I should ask or whether it's possible this info exists? If you would like more info about the book, please let me know. Thanks in advance for your help!

It is approx 4 foot 6 inches high, made of some light material, and is intended to be hung horizontally over a bar we presume as it has two hangers on the side of it. It seems quite old and looks well used !

I've added a link to a picture of it. It measures about 13" x 13". You can see it's in great condition. I'm from the Pittsburgh area. Please email me if you or someone you know are interested in it.

I have an unused 20 hL brewery for sale. To see photos and a complete description, please go to http://www.mtl.clubplus.net/~marty1/beerhome.htm
This brewery is ready to roll and is still in the fabrication shop! The manufacturer is highly respected in the brewing industry and is responsible for many breweries in eastern North America. Any questions or to set up a visit:metallurgicalsolutions@yahoo.com.

Back in May I posted a query to the Brewermania bulletin board asking for any information on the Schaefer Brewery, formerly of Brooklyn, NY. A lovely person responded via e-mail with the name/phone number of the Schaefer Brewery Archivist/Historian. Unfortunately the message is no longer in my e-mail archives and I can't find the hard copy. I desperately need this information. If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate hearing from you. Thanks very much! Patricia Butler (PButler111@aol.com)

I need information about a pabst poster I have. Approximately 4 feet by 6 feet, printed on corrugated cardboard. Number on print is P-684. Pictured is an old fire steam engine pulled by horses, with PBR bottle and glass full of beer. Any info or help in determining value would be appreciated.

My husband and I recently acquired a painting of the "Schmidt Brg. Co.'s Big Game". The painting is on canvas and framed in a gold vintage frame. The painting itself measures apx. 30" by 20". The painting shows three men, wearing hats and hunting clothing of the period (circa 1920?), they are each holding a glass of beer in one hand and a Winchester Rifle in the other, there is a table laid out with food and big beer bottles in the scene as well as three deer and three moose in the foreground, along with a case of Schmidt Beer bottles near the kill. There is a cabin to their right and the forest in the background. I am trying to get information about the painting, history, value, etc. Any information you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, The Kessel's 7-11-00

Miller Lite Coast to Coast sign for sale. If you haven't seen this sign it is a must for any thorough collection. The most unique sign I have ever seen in the bar business. The sign in is in good condition and is very hard to find. Last one I saw was listed on ebay for $900. Willing to part with mine for $750. Buyer pays for shipping though!

I am having an estate sale, in St. Louis, soon. The property of the estate belonged to a person, who was an executive for Anheiser Busch for years. We have quite a collection of unusual items. Portable Michilob bar, Budweiser bar, Mirrors, posters,Watches, sterling silver belt buckles, money clips steins, glasses, 1897 A&B matchsafe, and lots more. Please E-mail me if you are interested in any of this stuff. I'm an Antique dealer, and don't really handle these kind of things.
