I have an old picture/print that I am wondering how much it is worth. It is a picture of 8 clydesdale horses pulling a budweiser wagon with 2 men in uniform and a dalmation dog sitting on the wagon. They are going down a road and on the far side is a gate with 2 large pilars with a large animal with antlers on the left pilar. The animal with the antlers looks as if it is made of metal or stone. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Several years ago we were cleaning out my grandmother’s attic and found an interesting piece made out of cast plaster, it is a lion in a cage showing all its teeth. It appears to be an advertisement for the circus. It measures 33.5” tall, 43” wide, and 5” deep. A couple of the wood sticks that made the cage were broken and there was a small hole in the plaster. We were set up on the 450-mile yard sale in 2001 and had it on display for sale. Several people at one time were looking at it, taking pictures of it, and asking questions about it, I thought a couple of the guys looked familiar, my husband ask them who they were and they ask…”Do you ever watch the Antiques Road Show? I am Mitch Keno and this is my brother and we do appraisals on the show” well we were so excited to have them showing interest in an item of ours. He told my husband that the piece was definitely worth having the plaster restored. We figured that was the last of that, but it made our day! In Dec. 2001, my friend called me so excited and told me she just got her Traditional Homes magazine and there was a picture of our Lion piece in there along with an article the Keno Twin Brothers had written about the 450-mile yard sale and said that this piece had spoken to them…..We didn’t waste any time in contacting a reputable antique dealer to find someone that did restorations to restore our piece. She cleaned it, repaired the small plaster hole, replaced the broken wood sticks, and it is impossible to tell where it was restored. There is a plaque on the front that says EINSTEIN BROS. DISTILLERS. CINCINNATI. OH. There is another plaque on the lower right corner that says The Wilton-Reutner Co. Detroit, Michigan copyrighted. I did find out that the Einstein Bros Distillers was in business from 1897 – 1913, which tells me the piece is at least 92 to 108 years old. If anybody can give me any information on this piece, it would be most appreciated. I have it on Ebay right now under Collectibles, Advertising, Distillers, Other Distillers if you would like to look at it.

Looking for a rectangle Leinenkugel's mirror that has 2 deer in the left side with the logo in the right corner. Believe that the series was originally made sometime in the 40's or 50'. Replicated in the 70's. This was in a series of two, I believe. The other mirror has 2 ducks on the left side with the logo and a rifle on the right. If anyone has any information it would be appreciated.

Just came into possession of what appears to be an old coffee urn (pre-electric). The only identifying mark is a faceplate that says "Drewry & Sons, St. Paul, Minn". The only Drewry & Sons I find record of in St. Paul, Minn is the old brewery that went out of business in 1912. Did the brewery have a sideline in selling coffee urns to clubs and churches? Might this have been used at the company by the top brass? Or is it totally not connected to the brewery? Anybody have a clue? Thanks!!!

Does anyone have any vintage interior or exterior photographs to share of the old Manhattan Brewery in Chicago? Was there ever a brewery called "Marathon Brewery" in Chicago? We have a family "heirloom" that came out of a Chicago brewery that started with the letter "M", my father was 11 years old, it was 1931. My grandparents had a bakery during prohibition, and used destroyed beer barrels to keep their bake ovens going. My father, who is now 85, can't remember the exact name of the brewery, but thinks it was located around an intersection which included Shields Avenue. Does this sound familiar to anyone?? Any replies appreciated. Thanks

I have an antique Heineken Lamp. It stands about 20 inches tall, 13 inches wide, and 6 inches deep. It is a large Heineken Beer Bottle with a dutch boy standing next to it who is smoking a pipe. On the bottle is says Heineken Lager Beer, Brewed in Holland. Behind the man is a bucket of something. On the top of the bottle it says "at Van Munching, something NY". The bottle and the man are standing on a brown rectangular base. I don't know what the lamp is made of. It appears to be some kind of composite. At first I thought it was paper mache, but it has plastic of some kind in it. I intend to sell the lamp at auction on ebay or wherever and need your help in setting a value on the lamp. Please email me at JASC1397@AOL.COM if you have any information on this lamp. Thanks, Sandy

OK, I have been searching for a few days now, and I just cannot find it; does anyone know the name of the Anheuser-Busch anthem? I speak of the song normally played on a commercial with the clydesdales. If you are from the Saint Louis area, you know this song by heart and have heard it at Cardinals and Blues games, maybe the Rams as well. I am from Saint Louis and I feel a void in my heart when I go to ballgames here (Japan) and do not hear the song. I just want to know the name of it. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I need some information on the tops of cans manufactured by Anheuser-Busch Inc. and when the styles changed. I am a geologist with the U.S Geological Survey. We found the top of a beer can in a drilling project, buried several feet down in the sediment of a reservoir in California where we are studying the history of sedimentation. The fragment of the top of the can is marked "ANHEUSER-BUSCH INC." and has the additional instructions "PUSH BACK" with an arrow pointing to the word "INC." It has an attached pull tab similar to the ones that are sold today, but there might be something about the style or the lettering that would help us date the can more specifically. I am looking for an expert on beer can history or a photo archive of Budweiser and other Anheuser-Busch can tops to help us figure out the years when such a can was produced. We don't have any money to pay the expert who helps us, but they would be acknowledged in scientific publications that result from this research. Also I'd like to know if trace elements or other compositional aspects of the aluminum may have changed with time such that this could be used as a forensic dating tool. I can send a photo of the can fragment if that is helpful, or we could provide the sample itself to someone who is serious about helping us. Thanks, Charlie Alpers U.S. Geological Survey Sacramento, CA

I recently found a Anheuser & Fehrs crate. It is wood with joined corners. The markings on the crate are branded and stamped into to the wood. Two opposite sides are marked: Anheuser & Fehrs (a 1 is below the A in Anheuser); Kreuznach Germany (a 1 is below the K); to the right of the lettering is a large AB eagle and A. One of the other two sides is marked: 12 bottles;2.16 gallons wine; Liebfraumilch, and the other is marked:The Jos Garneau Co. Inc.; New York 3-NY; 2998. I would like to know how old it might be and any related history. I ran across this site researching it on Google all of the other hits were in German and the tranlations are terrible. Of course I would like to know the value but doubt I would part with it because it holds a ton of CD's and DVD's.

I have a wooden crate from Anheuser-Busch, it is a Budweiser case that on the side says Since 1876. I'm trying to find out if anyone knows the approximate year, I have seen many that are just like it but on the side say 1876 1976, I know these are the reproductions made for the 100th anniversary. The person I purchased it from said he was told it could possibly be pre-prohibition. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, My husband is trying to find out what the value of a huge Lowenbrau Lion that he obtained recently. It is about 61/2 feet tall, and roughly 2-3 feet in diameter. The lion is sitting on a round base. It isn't as heavy as you would think for it's size, it almost looks like paper mache' or some kind of plaster. This had been displayed in a pub that he used to go to, it had been in a window display since the 1970's. The lion is holding a beer mug up to his mouth. If anyone knows anything about this, or others like it please e-mail me. Thanks for your help! bkshrout@fuse.net

I have a "Certificate of Priority" that was given by Anheuser-Busch.Inc to individuals that got the first case of beer produced. And it reads in part: "This Certificate certifies that its possessor has received on of the first cases of genuine Budweiser Beer delivered for consumption, since th einception of Prohibition 14 years ago. These certificates accompany only the cases containing the initial bottling of the first brew to reach a few of the friends of Budweiser." the date on the seal if April 7 1933. It has two wealthy african american women holding glasses of beer. It is mostly plastic and metal. It is a Falstaff C-112 B, C, D, E Series Large Sparkler. It also says Morton Grove, Illinois. If anybody has any information on this please email me. I would like to know what its worth. I was given what appears to be a antique ballantine barlight by one of my neighbors. I researched it on the net and was unable to even locate a similar item. This light is shaped like the steering wheel of an old sailing ship with 6 handles around it. It has a glass of beer on the face with a bottle of ballantine light lager next to it. It is also a barometer and has 5 weather catergories on the face with a red needle that points to them depending on the barometric pressure. The barometer and light are in working order and the whole thing is in excellent condition. It was manufactured by Neon Products Incorporated, unknown year. Can anyone tell me the history and possible value of this item.

Over the weekend I bought a box of photos and in the bottom was a realphoto post card featuring some fellows standing around in front of Frank W. Hauser's brewery and drinking establishment featuring advertising signs for North Western Bohemian (and?) Allmalt. Appears to date to the teens, and is most likely from Chicago due to the other photos. There is a "199" street number on the awning. Is this familiar to any collectors out there? All replies kindly answered.

A friend of mine picked up a piece of art at a recent garage sale. It is from Buffalo Brewing Company of Sacramento, CA. It is fairly good size (about 2' x 3') and it is on what appears to be pieces of wood which have been treated with a dark color stain. Possibly from a beer crate or something like that? It has a painted picture of a woman riding a buffalo. Can anyone point me in a direction to see what it's worth or how to guage it's value?
