OLDEST PIECE OF LEMP ADVERTISING?

In what may be the oldest existing piece of Lemp advertising, a dog's collar engraved 'Adam Lemp Western Brauerei,' ('brauerei', being German for 'brewery'), turned up a few years ago in a pawn shop in East St. Louis, Illinois. It is unknown whether the collar was a promotional giveaway, or worn by a guard dog protecting Adam Lemp's original brewery. While undated, its construction (of rolled brass, and tin soldering) and the antebellum style of lettering used in the engraving are consistent with similar items which are known to date from the 1840's.
